Our free standing jib cranes are designed for heavy duty, high productivity applications, making them some of the most versatile cranes available. They are suitable for placement beneath large bridge cranes, in open areas serving multiple work stations, in outdoor applications such as loading docks, or in machining and assembly operations where they can be overlapped with other jibs for staged operation. The cranes feature a boxed style head assembly that allows for the installation of the head prior to the boom, reducing required installation clearances and maximizing hoist lift, while also enhancing stability compared to common sleeve-over-pipe designs, resulting in less deflection. The precision tapered roller bearings ensure smooth operation and longevity. Additionally, full supporting triangular baseplate gussets are employed instead of struts to minimize deflection. The cranes come equipped with bolted movable trolley stops to limit trolley travel and are pre-engineered for use with powered hoists. A factor of 15% of the jib crane capacity accommodates the hoist and trolley weight, with an additional 25% of capacity allowed for impact, thus providing full rated capacity use of the jib. The large baseplate and special chemical anchors included with the jib eliminate the need for a foundation, although templates and hoist trolley are not included.
