The Modine Hot Dawg® is a 30,000 BTU separated combustion natural gas unit heater designed for efficient heating in a variety of environments. This Hot Dawg® model HDS features a separated combustion design that utilizes fresh air for combustion, avoiding the use of indoor space air, with one vent pipe bringing in fresh air and another exhausting flue gases, making it ideal for woodworking shops or other dusty settings. The unit includes an optional concentric vent adapter accessory, allowing for a single penetration through a sidewall or roof. It operates quietly due to its Hush-Puppy technology and is factory configured for natural gas use. Certified for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, the heater's low-profile design and neutral colors allow it to blend seamlessly with most decors. Weighing in as a lightweight unit, it can be installed just one inch from the ceiling using only two angle brackets (included for sizes 30-75, optional for sizes 100, 125), or can be lowered with a threaded rod accessory kit. Installation is straightforward with field wiring connections and convenient knockouts for easy gas and electrical access. The heater offers right or left-hand controls on all 30-75 units, and the gas, electrical, and flue connections are easily adjustable by flipping the Hot Dawg and rotating the spring-loaded discharge louvers. It features a permanently-lubricated motor for reliable performance and is ETL listed, with a full 10-year parts warranty on the heat exchanger and a 1-year limited warranty.
