The Edwards 96B series Adaptabeacon light duty strobe lights feature a weatherproof snap-on high impact plastic base and an optically designed Fresnel lens that is immune to shock and vibration. These low profile units are ideal for light duty applications in industrial, commercial, and institutional settings where short-term intermittent visual signaling is required. The design includes a series of complementing Fresnels that enhance the light dome with each strobe flash, increasing viewer perception and beam distance with external Fresnel lenses. The trigger and timing circuits are integral to the power supply, reducing replacement costs to only the strobe tube. The units are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation and can be directly or 1/2" (13mm) conduit mounted on any plane, although vertical installation maximizes beam width projection. For weatherproof installations, vertical mounting with the dome up is recommended. The strobe lights can be corner mounted using the Cat. No. CBR corner mount bracket or wall mounted with the Cat. No. WBR wall mount bracket. The 96B series is particularly effective in high ambient light environments where traditional rotating or flashing lights are hard to distinguish, or in settings where high ambient noise levels may hinder audible signals. The gasketed weatherproof design ensures installation acceptability in most industrial and commercial locations.
