The radial ball bearing is designed to handle moderate load-carrying capacity in both radial and axial directions, making it suitable for high-speed and high-accuracy applications. It features a rubber seal or metal shield on one or both sides to protect against dirt and contaminants. When two seals or shields are present, the bearing is pre-lubricated with grease for its entire lifespan upon manufacture. The bearing ranges from 10 to 75 mm bore for the 6000 to 6300 series, and from 10 to 50 mm for the 6800 and 6900 series, enhancing reliability through a newly designed seal and shield, along with appropriate grease. Improved accuracy of components contributes to quieter operation, while a reduction in power loss due to low and stable running torque potentially leads to cost and energy savings.
