The kit includes a set of five rotating gate valve lockouts (models 480, 481, 482, 483, and 484) designed for both outward and inward rotation, facilitating easier installation and storage. Each lockout surrounds the valve operating handle to prevent accidental opening, and its unique patented rotating design allows for use in confined space applications. The sizes nest into one another to save space in safety toolboxes, and a center knockout can be removed for rising stem gate valves. Multiple workers can apply personal safety locks, and the kit comes complete with high-visibility permanent safety labels in English, French, and Spanish, which allow for writing identification that can be erased for reuse. Constructed from tough, lightweight, dielectric Zenex™ thermoplastic, the lockouts are resistant to chemicals and perform effectively in extreme conditions, operating within a temperature range of -50°F (-46°C) to 350°F (177°C). The lockouts accommodate valve diameters ranging from 1" (2.5cm) to 13" (33cm) and are packaged for commercial use.
