The Honeywell Electronic Protectorelay™ Flame Detection Control RA890F1270 with a flame failure response time (FFRT) of 0.8 seconds and SPDT alarm contacts provides solid state, electronic flame safeguard protection for industrial and commercial single or dual fuel burners using rectification type flame detection. It utilizes the rectification principle of electronic flame detection and replaces the RA890E in most applications, mounting on the same Q270A1024 thermoplastic subbase, which is strong and durable. The device recycles if the flame signal is lost while in run mode, but failure to establish pilot flame results in a lockout. A safe-start check prevents start-up if a flame-simulating failure occurs in the flame detector circuit, and built-in protection safeguards against ignition crossover in flame rod systems. The solid state circuitry enables reliable performance and the unit mounts and removes easily through the use of captive mounting screws. The product includes warranty terms as specified by Honeywell.
