The ANS series of products from Edwards are high-performance audio notification systems designed to provide voice evacuation capability that meets the emergency voice alarm requirements of NFPA 72 for UL listed fire alarm applications. ANS panels are available in 25, 50, or 70 watt models and include an amplifier, tone generator, digital message repeater (DMR), and supervisory interface. These self-contained systems feature robust field-configurable capabilities and are compatible with a wide range of accessory equipment that enhances application flexibility and reliable performance for both new and retrofit installations. Expander panels and modules can extend the range of the ANS system for demanding audio applications, while accessory equipment like zone switchers and remote microphones enhance functionality. Standard features include clean dead-front construction, an integrated digital message repeater with a four-minute message capacity, field selectable 25 or 70 VRMS speakers, a 120 VAC power supply and battery charger, paging microphone override capabilities, high reliability with low maintenance, full supervision, UL listing, easy installation and operation, built-in alarm and alert signals, and compatibility with QuickStart and Fireshield control panels. A 24-hour backup is provided by two 12 V, 7 AH batteries.
