The Edwards 1206B detector wire guard provides physical protection for various Edwards smoke and heat detectors, manufactured from robust welded 7 gauge wire with a zinc plating finish. This low-profile and unobtrusive design ensures that it does not obstruct the view of the detector's alarm LED, allowing for easy visibility. The guard is ideal for locations requiring impact protection, such as gymnasiums and warehouses, although it is not designed for tamper protection. The 1206B mounts directly over the detector onto any flat surface using three mounting screws, with the alarm LED of the protected detector remaining clearly visible. It is important to note that the guard will not fit over detectors mounted on surface-mounted electrical boxes.
