Series 302 heat detectors are engineered for deployment in both standard and challenging environments, including those exposed to weather, moisture (internal condensation), and explosive atmospheres. These normally-open devices close an electrical circuit when activated and come equipped with rate compensation features. The model 302-AW-135 has a fixed temperature rating of 135°F (57.2°C), making it suitable for all-weather conditions. It is specifically designed for moisture-proof or dust-proof installations and does not require a special back box if the all-weather leads are correctly spliced to "THW" or equivalent type wire with moisture-proof splices. These detectors are versatile for both indoor and outdoor applications, featuring a self-restoring mechanism, hermetically sealed construction, shock and corrosion resistance, and tamperproof design.
