SuperDuct is a slim, feature-rich alternative to bulky duct smoke detectors, designed for easy installation and superb reliability. The kit includes removable dust filters, conformally coated circuit boards, and optional water-resistant gaskets to keep contaminants away from components, ensuring years of trouble-free service. The detectors utilize differential sensing to prevent false alarms caused by gradual environmental changes, allowing for rapid detection of smoke during fire conditions. The assembly includes a cover that provides easy access to the smoke sensor, wiring connections, sample and exhaust tube fittings, and the smoke chamber. Air enters the sensing chamber through a separate sampling tube, which is ordered separately, while an exhaust tube is included. The pressure difference between these tubes pulls the sampled air through the sensing chamber, and when smoke is detected, the detector initiates an alarm. SuperDuct is designed for straightforward maintenance, as the assemblies can be easily disassembled and reassembled in seconds.
