Justrite® 08306 stainless horizontal drum vent for corrosives and general solvents is designed for safe filling and storage of liquids. This drum vent is essential for flammable liquids as it provides venting to relieve pressure build-up caused by heat and prevents the creation of a vacuum when draining liquids or during sudden cooling. It offers automatic pressure relief for drums between 3 PSI (20 kPa) and less than 8 PSI (55 kPa). Depending on the installation, vacuum relief can be either automatic for horizontally installed vents or manual for vertically installed vents. The vent has been tested to allow one liter (61 cubic inch) of water to pass through a 3/8" (9.5 mm) pipe nipple in less than 6 seconds, and when closed, it effectively prevents the escape of flammable vapor. Each safety drum vent includes a flame arrester for added security and comes with a limited warranty of 1 year.
