Justrite® 08202 is a 4-1/2" diameter steel funnel featuring a manual-close cover and a 1" flame arrester, designed to prevent dangerous spills when transferring flammable liquids. This wide-mouth drum funnel is essential for transferring liquids into the relatively small 2" bung on a 30- or 55-gallon (110 & 200L) drum. Manufactured from heavy 18-gauge galvanized steel with an electrostatically applied epoxy powder coat finish, it ensures durability and chemical resistance. The funnel complies with EPA and OSHA regulations and is FM approved, with options to accommodate a lock to prevent unauthorized access. The brass flame arrester is designed to absorb and dissipate heat, preventing external ignition sources, such as sparks, static electricity, or cigarettes, from igniting the drum's flammable contents. Additional funnel models include no. 08207, equipped with a 6" (152mm) flame arrester for general use, and no. 08205, which has a 32" (813mm) flame arrester for increased liquid flow. For viscous flammable or nonflammable liquids, funnel no. 08208 includes a 33" (838mm) open-end brass tube to direct liquid flow. Self-close models feature a fusible link that melts at 165°F (74°C), allowing the cover to automatically shut in case of a fire, thereby extinguishing flames. This funnel is designed to keep the workplace clean, safe, and in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. It includes a limited warranty of 1 year for added assurance.
