The Scilogex D160 homogenizer is designed for rapid homogenization, dispersion, and emulsification of samples ranging from 0.1 to 50ml of liquid or up to 250ml depending on the generating probe used. It operates with a rotor speed of up to 30,000 RPM, effectively drawing suspended materials into the core, where they are cycled through narrow slits in the probe for rapid shearing and disintegration. This process achieves complete homogenization of various tissues (such as muscle, liver, and breast tissue) in just a few seconds, while producing minimal heat. The D160 homogenizer is lightweight and easy to hold for one-handed operation. It features generators made of 316L stainless steel with PTFE bushings and autoclaveable stainless steel shafts, making it inert to aggressive solutions. All shafts are interchangeable and can be easily removed for cleaning. The unit offers speed control ranging from 8,000 to 30,000 RPM, making it suitable for a variety of solvents and abrasive substances. It comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
