The kit includes sterile, individually bagged scoops made from FDA grade polystyrene plastic impregnated with stainless steel powder, enabling detection of scoops and scoop fragments as small as 1.6 mm³ using standard metal detection and X-ray equipment. Each scoop is designed for one-time use and disposal, ensuring safety for food, drug, and cosmetic contact. Available in 60 ml (2 oz) and 125 ml (4 oz) sizes, the scoops feature a long handle that increases the distance between the hand and sample, thereby reducing contamination and exposure potential. Additionally, the scoops have a flat bottom that allows them to remain upright for use as weigh boats or to rest on a flat surface without spilling. The blue coloring conforms to industry-recognized standards for metal detectable materials, while both blue and black colors provide a contrasting option to most sampled products.
