Severe duty motors range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed to protect against harsh environmental operating conditions, making them suitable for applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors are built to the 841XL design and feature an upgraded electrical and mechanical design with NEMA Premium® efficient windings. They include Inpro/Seal® VBX up to frame 210, VBXX bearing isolators on fan and drive end shaft extensions, and an epoxy paint that provides an IP56 enclosure. Additionally, these motors have stainless breather drains, proprietary cast iron frames that reduce vibration and noise, and terminal lugs on motor leads. They are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2001 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service and come with a 5-year warranty.
