Severe duty motors, ranging from 1 HP to 700 HP, are specifically designed to withstand harsh environmental operating conditions, making them ideal for applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors feature Super-E® premium efficient windings, operate at 460 volts, and have a 1.15 service factor. They come with a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. Additionally, they include a Forsheda® shaft seal and moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant®) copper windings, and are constructed with Class F insulation. The motors are equipped with a stainless steel nameplate and corrosion-resistant hardware, and are backed by a 5-year warranty. Their robust design makes them suitable for tropical climates and other processing industry applications that require protection against corrosion from severe environmental conditions.
