Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require protection from severe environmental operating conditions. These motors are suitable for various applications, including petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. The motors feature Super-E® premium efficient windings, operate at 460 volts, and have a 1.15 service factor. They include a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant®) copper windings, and Class F insulation. Additional attributes include a stainless steel nameplate and corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors come with a 5-year warranty, making them suitable for tropical climates and processing industry applications that require protection against corrosion from harsh environments.
