Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three-phase AC as well as DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. These motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, with major components made from 300 series stainless steel or fully stainless steel constructions. They are ideally suited for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and other environments where motors undergo regular high-pressure washdowns. Additionally, the motors come equipped with provisions for HS25 and HS35 encoder feedback mounting, enabling compatibility with closed-loop velocity or position motor controls, and they comply with NEMA MG 1, Part 31. Typical applications include conveyors, pumps, and other equipment operating in demanding environments that require regular washing, particularly in adjustable speed scenarios where full torque at zero speed is not necessary.
