Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available in single and three-phase AC and DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, with paint-free major components made from 300 series stainless steel, and designs that include all stainless steel options. They are specifically designed for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and environments where motors are regularly exposed to high-pressure washdowns. Key features include moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) 200°C magnet wire, sealed ball bearings with moisture-resistant grease, contact lip seals on shaft extensions, neoprene gaskets, special processed cast endplates, and a 300 series stainless steel motor frame, base, shaft, and hardware. The motors incorporate no exterior paint and are tropicalized for enhanced durability. They are well-suited for severe environments where regular washing is required.
