The Definite Purpose family of motors encompasses a diverse range tailored to meet market demands, including TEFC and ODP two-speed motors, as well as single-phase pressure washer motors. This specialty group features options from arbor saws to woodworking, and pre-1952 NEMA motors to SAE hydraulic pump motors. The selection includes an extensive line of TEFC and ODP F-2 motors available in power ratings from 1 HP to 60 HP. Automotive-approved motors, recognized by major US automobile manufacturers, are constructed with all cast iron materials and comply with sound power level requirements. Additionally, a broad line of Design D oil field pump motors, designed for high torque and high slip, is offered in sizes ranging from 3 HP to 150 HP. Key features include regreasable double-shield ball bearings, a shaft slinger on both ends, a stainless steel nameplate, and epoxy paint. These motors are suitable for ambient temperatures of 65°C with a service factor of 1.00 or 40°C with a service factor of 1.15, while also meeting GM minimum efficiency times power factor requirements per GM7EHQ.
