Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three-phase AC and in DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish and are constructed with major components in 300 series stainless steel, or entirely in stainless steel, making them suitable for harsh environments. They are specifically designed for applications in food processing, packaging, and pharmaceuticals, or any area where motors are routinely exposed to high-pressure wash down. These motors incorporate all the benefits of standard paint-free washdown duty motors and are optimized for use with variable frequency drives. They comply with NEMA MG 1, Part 31 standards and are ideal for adjustable speed applications that do not require full torque at zero speed, making them suitable for use with conveyors, pumps, and other equipment in severe environments.
