Severe duty motors are available in power ratings from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that necessitate robust protection from harsh environmental operating conditions. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient motor design, a 1.15 service factor, and are equipped with a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish for enhanced durability. They include regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, a Forsheda® shaft seal, and moisture-resistant copper windings. The insulation is rated Class F, and the motors come with a stainless steel nameplate and corrosion-resistant hardware, making them suitable for tropical climates. These motors are ideal for use in a variety of industries, including petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants, where protection against severe environmental conditions is critical.
