Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that necessitate protection from harsh environmental conditions. Typical applications include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design, a 1.15 service factor, and a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish. Additional attributes include regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, Forsheda® shaft seals, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors are also tropicalized for enhanced durability in challenging environments.
