Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specially designed for applications that require protection from extreme environmental operating conditions. These motors are suitable for typical applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. They are built to the 841XL design with an upgraded electrical and mechanical design featuring NEMA Premium® efficient winding. The motors include Inpro/Seal® VBX bearings (thru 210 frame) and VBXX bearing isolators on fan and drive end shaft extensions, ensuring enhanced performance. An epoxy paint provides an IP56 enclosure, while stainless breather drains are included for added durability. The motors come with a 5-year warranty and are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2001 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service, making them ideal for petro-chemical, pulp and paper, cement, aggregate mining, and other process industries requiring premium efficient motors.
