Severe duty motors range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically engineered to withstand harsh environmental operating conditions. These motors are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed the IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) induction motors. They feature premium efficiency copper windings utilizing Baldor-Reliance ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire, which complies with CEE efficiency guidelines. Each motor includes an Inpro Seal on both the fan and drive end shaft extensions, is coated with a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer on the inside and outside, and is finished with gray epoxy paint and corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors are built to minimize noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances, and final test and vibration results are shipped with each unit. Typical applications for these motors encompass petro-chemical plants, pulp and paper facilities, mines, foundries, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants, ensuring reliability and efficiency in demanding environments.
