Permanent magnet DC motors are available in power ratings from 1/4 to 2 HP, while wound field motors range from 1/2 to 3 HP, suitable for use in Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G hazardous locations, with listings from both UL and CSA. These motors are specifically designed for applications such as conveyors and mixers in hazardous environments and feature a NEMA C-Face with a welded base, UL and CSA certification, and include a T3C thermostat along with an explosion-proof conduit box. It is important to note that these motors are not tach adaptable. They are ideal for use in conveyors, feeders, and pumps where variable speed and constant torque are essential in hazardous locations.
