Severe duty motors, ranging from 1 HP to 700 HP, are specially designed to protect against harsh environmental conditions typically found in applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design with a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. Additional attributes include a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware. They are also tropicalized for enhanced performance in tropical climates. These motors are ideal for processing industries requiring robust protection against corrosion due to severe environmental conditions.
