Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed for applications requiring protection from severe environmental operating conditions. Typical applications include petrochemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. The motors feature a Super-E Premium Efficient Motor with a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. Additional attributes include a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, corrosion-resistant hardware, and tropicalized design. These motors are suitable for use in tropical climates and other processing industry applications that require corrosion protection.
