Severe duty motors are available in a range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are engineered for applications that require robust protection from extreme environmental conditions. Key features include a design that exceeds IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty TEFC induction motors; premium efficiency copper windings utilizing Baldor-ReLiAnce ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant)™ magnet wire, which complies with CEE efficiency guidelines; an Inpro Seal™ on both fan and drive end shaft extensions; and a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer applied inside and outside. Additionally, these motors are finished with gray epoxy paint and corrosion-resistant hardware, and they are designed to reduce noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances. Each motor is accompanied by final test and vibration results, ensuring high reliability.
