Severe duty motors are available in a range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are designed to withstand severe environmental operating conditions, making them ideal for applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design, a 1.15 service factor, and a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish. They are equipped with regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, and a Forsheda® shaft seal. The moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, and stainless steel nameplate with corrosion-resistant hardware ensure durability. Additionally, these motors are tropicalized to perform in challenging conditions, making them suitable for tropical climates and various processing industry applications that require protection against corrosion.
