The Definite Purpose family of motors includes a variety of options designed to meet diverse marketplace demands, featuring TEFC and ODP two-speed motors, as well as single-phase pressure washer motors, with specialized motors for applications ranging from arbor saws to woodworking and including pre-1952 NEMA motors and SAE hydraulic pump motors. This collection offers an extensive line of TEFC and ODP F-2 motors with power ratings from 1 HP to 60 HP. The automotive approved motors, which meet efficiency and power factor requirements per GM7EQ, are constructed from cast iron and feature regreasable doubleshield ball bearings, a shaft slinger on both ends of the motor, a stainless steel nameplate, and an epoxy paint finish. They are suitable for a 65°C ambient at a 1.00 service factor or a 1.15 service factor at a 40°C ambient, and they comply with automotive sound level requirements as well as GM specifications for minimum efficiency and power factor requirements per GM7EHQ. These motors are designed for use in plants requiring automotive approved motors for applications including pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, and machine tools.
