Inverter/vector motors are equipped with a superior insulation system designed to comply with NEMA MG-1 Part 31 for inverter power. The motors available from stock range from 1/3 HP to 1000 HP and are engineered for a variety of industrial applications where full torque is needed from base speed down to zero speed. Key applications include conveyors, pumps, fans, metal processing, compressors, test stands, material handling, packaging equipment, and printing presses, among others requiring precise speeds and positioning. The motors feature a compact square laminated steel frame FL210-L440 (with FL180 being extruded aluminum) suitable for inverter and vector duty, a 1000:1 constant torque capability, premium class H insulation rated for a 40 C ambient temperature with a 1.0 service factor, and three normally closed thermostats (one per phase). Additionally, VPI insulation and insulated O.D.E. bearings are standard on all L440 frames. Applications include extruders, cranes and hoist systems, converting, web processing, traction duty, and winders.
