Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed for applications that require robust protection from harsh environmental conditions. Typical applications include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors are built to the 841XL design and feature an upgraded electrical and mechanical design with NEMA Premium® efficient winding. They include Inpro/Seal® VBX (thru 210 frame) and VBXX bearing isolators on fan and drive end shaft extensions. The epoxy paint provides an IP56 enclosure, and stainless breather drains enhance durability. The proprietary cast iron frames contribute to reduced vibration and noise, while terminal lugs on motor leads facilitate easy connections. These motors come with a 5-year warranty, ensuring reliability in demanding applications.
