The McDonnell & Miller Series 51-2 Mechanical Water Feeder/Low Water Cut-Off 51-2 is designed for low pressure steam and hot water boilers with a capacity larger than 5,000 sq. ft. (465 m2) and features a cold water feed system. It includes a quick-change replaceable cartridge valve and strainer, and offers optional features such as a No. 2 switch, manual reset, and float block. This model provides proportional feed action and can be field upgraded with a No. 2 switch to incorporate a low water cut-off function. The unit operates under a maximum water supply pressure of 150 psi (10.5 kg/cm2) and can handle a maximum inlet water temperature of 120°F (49°C), while maintaining a maximum vessel pressure of 35 psi (2.5 kg/cm2). This product is made in the USA.
