The Proto® 3/8" drive deep socket 13 mm - 6 point measures 2-1/8" long and is specifically designed for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners as well as those made from soft materials. Featuring the TorquePlus™ design, this high performance drive configuration facilitates quick and easy socket engagement to the fastener flats rather than the corners. The innovative TorquePlus™ configuration utilizes a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. This internal design not only reduces the risk of rounding fasteners but also extends their lifespan and enables users to more effectively turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
