The Proto® 3/8" drive socket is a 10 mm - 6 point, measuring 1-3/32" in length. This socket is designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from soft materials. Featuring the TorquePlus™ design, it employs a high-performance drive configuration that allows for quick and easy engagement to the fastener flats rather than the corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration utilizes a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, effectively distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design helps to prevent fastener rounding, extends the life of fasteners, and allows for easier turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
