The Proto® 1/2" drive socket 3/4" - 6 point is designed to be 1-1/2" long, making it a reliable tool for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from softer materials. Its TorquePlus™ design features a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats rather than the corners. This configuration utilizes a radius-corner design, which shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, thereby distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces the risk of fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and enables users to effectively work with worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
