The Proto® 1/2" drive deep socket, measuring 11/16" with a 6-point configuration and a length of 3-1/4", is designed specifically for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from soft materials. Its TorquePlus™ design provides a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats rather than the corners. This innovative configuration features a radius-corner design, which shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, thereby distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces fastener rounding, prolongs fastener life, and enhances the user's ability to turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
