The Proto® 3/8" drive socket features a 3/8" - 6 point configuration, specifically designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as on fasteners made from soft materials. Its TorquePlus™ design offers a high-performance drive configuration that enables quick and easy socket engagement with the fastener flats instead of the corners. This design incorporates a radius-corner feature that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
