The Proto® 1/4" drive deep socket, 10 mm, features a 6-point design that is particularly effective for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from softer materials. It incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats, rather than the corners. This innovative configuration uses a radius-corner design, which helps to shift the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces the risk of fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and allows users to more effectively turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
