The Proto® 3/8" drive socket features a 1" size and 12-point design with a length of 1-3/8". It is specifically engineered for effective use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as fasteners made from soft materials. The TorquePlus™ design enhances performance by facilitating quick and easy engagement with the fastener flats instead of the corners. This configuration includes a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the corners of the fastener, which helps in distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket, thereby minimizing slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and enables users to turn worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners with ease.
