The Proto® Black Chrome Combination Reversible Ratcheting Wrench 10 mm is designed for versatility with its metric spline capability, allowing it to be used on metric 4, 6, 12 point, spline, and Torx® fasteners. This wrench features a chrome-vanadium switch lever that facilitates easy changes in turning direction, enhancing speed during use. The 15° angled offset box end ensures that the shank remains clear of obstructions, while the chrome-vanadium construction of both the box ends and switch levers provides high strength and durability. The countersunk box end allows for an easy application to the fastener, and the innovative spline design is specifically created for specialty spline bolts where minimizing the weight and size of bolt heads is essential. This design also enables the wrench to engage conventional fasteners away from the corners, distributing force over a larger area to reduce the risk of fastener scoring and prevent rounding of corners, thus avoiding potential foreign object damage (FOD). The high contact surface area, away from fastener points, facilitates the turning of highly rounded fasteners. Additionally, the anti-slip design (ASD) open end and the black chrome finish provide both corrosion resistance and a visually distinctive appearance.
