The Proto® Black Chrome Combination Reversible Ratcheting Wrench, 36 mm - Spline, is designed for use on metric 4, 6, 12 point, spline, and Torx® fasteners. This wrench features a chrome-vanadium switch lever for easy changes in turning direction, enhancing speed and efficiency. Its 15° angled offset box end keeps the shank clear of obstructions, while the chrome-vanadium box ends and switch levers ensure high strength and durability. The box end is countersunk for straightforward application to fasteners. The spline design allows compatibility with specialty spline bolts, which are essential when minimizing the weight and size of bolt heads is critical. Furthermore, the design of the wrench enables it to contact conventional fasteners away from the corners, thereby distributing force over a larger area to reduce the risk of fastener scoring and prevent rounding of corners or other damage that could lead to foreign object damage (FOD). The wrench also features a high contact surface area that facilitates turning of highly rounded fasteners and an anti-slip design (ASD) for the open end. Its black chrome finish not only provides corrosion resistance but also lends a visually distinctive appearance.
