The Proto® black chrome combination reversible ratcheting wrench is a 13 mm spline tool designed for use with metric 4, 6, and 12 point, spline, and Torx® fasteners. It features a chrome-vanadium switch lever that enables easy changes in turning direction for improved speed, while a 15° angled offset box end ensures the shank remains clear of obstructions. The durable chrome-vanadium construction of the box ends and switch levers offers high strength, and the countersunk box end allows for easy application to the fastener. Its spline design is specifically engineered for specialty spline bolts, facilitating use where bolt head weight and size are critical. This design allows the wrench to make contact with conventional fasteners away from the corners, distributing force over a larger area to mitigate the risk of fastener scoring and rounding, thus reducing the likelihood of foreign object damage (FOD). The wrench also includes an anti-slip design (ASD) open end and boasts a black chrome finish that enhances corrosion resistance while providing a visually distinctive appearance.
