The Zoeller M53 Mighty-Mate is an automatic submersible pump designed for dewatering (sump) and effluent (septic tank systems) applications. It features a 1-1/2" NPT discharge and is capable of passing 1/2" solids. This pump is ideal for residential and light commercial dewatering tasks, effectively transferring groundwater or effluent. To ensure efficient operation, effluent systems typically utilize variable level float controls and correctly sized basins for optimal pumping cycles. The pump is float operated and boasts a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated epoxy finish, with no sheet metal parts that can rust or corrode. It is constructed with stainless steel screws, a switch arm, guard, and handle, and eliminates clogging issues with no screens. Additionally, it includes a watertight neoprene square ring between the motor and pump housing, a solid buoyant polypropylene float, and the entire unit is pressure tested after assembly. The pump is equipped with a carbon and ceramic shaft seal for durability and reliability.
