The Adjustable Z-blade louver with a fusible link activated at 165 degrees F is designed for use in fire doors with a maximum rating of 1-1/2 hours. This kit includes a self-attaching frame style that is suitable for installation in existing door cutouts. Constructed from 16 gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS) for both the frame and louver blades, it accommodates minimum sizes of 10" x 6" and maximum sizes of 24" x 24". The louver features riveted blades attached to the operating bar and frame at 1" intervals within a welded 1-9/16" deep frame. The mechanical stop holds the blades open, while the frame features mitered and welded corners, with screws fastening through a prepared frame into the louver core, ensuring a clean corridor side without visible fasteners. The adjustable blades pivot on cadmium-plated steel rivets and are operated via a manual adjusting lever. Additionally, the design incorporates a spring-loaded fusible link mechanism that, upon melting, actuates the action bar to close and lock all blades securely.
