The Adjustable Z-blade louver with a fusible link activated at 165 degrees F is designed for use in fire doors with up to a 1-1/2 hour rating. It features a self-attaching frame style suitable for installation in existing door cutouts, constructed from 16 gauge cold rolled steel (CRS) for both the frame and louver blades. The louver's dimensions range from a minimum size of 10" x 6" to a maximum size of 24" x 24". The louver is riveted to the operating bar and frame at 1" intervals, featuring a welded 1-9/16" deep frame. The construction includes mitered and welded corners with screws fastened through a prepared frame into the louver core, which leaves the corridor side of the frame free of fasteners. The adjustable blades of 16 gauge CRS pivot on cadmium-plated steel rivets, operated by a manual adjusting lever. The design incorporates a spring-loaded fusible link mechanism that, upon melting, actuates the action bar to close and lock all blades.
