The Adjustable Z-Blade louver with fusible link activated at 165 degrees F is designed for fire doors with up to a 1-1/2 hour rating. This louver's self-attaching frame style is suited for installation in existing door cutouts. It features a 16 gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS) frame and louver blades, with a minimum size of 10" x 6" and a maximum size of 24" x 24". The louver is constructed with blades riveted to the operating bar and frame at 1" intervals, supported by a welded 1-9/16" deep frame. A mechanical stop effectively holds the blades open. The frame includes mitered and welded corners, with screws fastened through the prepared frame into the louver core, ensuring that the corridor side of the frame remains free of fasteners. The adjustable blades, made of 16 gauge CRS, pivot on cadmium-plated steel rivets and are operated using a manual adjusting lever. A spring-loaded fusible link mechanism is integrated into the design, which activates upon melting of the link, prompting the action bar to close and lock all blades.
