It can fold up to 17,000 pieces per hour, featuring fully automated fold plates for one-touch setup of 18 pre-programmed fold settings, along with the ability to store 27 custom folds in memory. Its large full-color touchscreen control panel ensures ease of use through a simple, step-by-step interface, allowing operators to load up to 500 sheets in the hopper, select their desired fold, and start the process, which can complete the folding of 500 sheets in as fast as 2 minutes. The FD 386 includes a patented telescoping conveyor system for holding folded pieces, while it also offers an optional multi-sheet feeder for folding up to 4 stapled or unstapled sheets at once with a dedicated feed system that has side guides and skew adjustment. The advanced software supports customization of all standard fold types and paper sizes to meet specific needs. Additionally, it can be paired with the optional Formax V-Stack36i vertical stacker, capable of stacking up to 22 inches of folded documents for easier unloading.
