The maple butcher-block bench top is kiln dried, electronically glued, then cured and sanded smooth, finished with a penetrating mineral oil protectant that is NSF-approved. The bench top requires oiling on all surfaces every 1-2 weeks depending on use or conditions for upkeep. The work surface can be cleaned with mild household cleaners such as soap and water solutions, Windex, and Lysol, while aggressive chemicals like ammonia and solvents should be avoided as they may cause permanent damage to the finish. All dimensions are typical with a general tolerance of plus or minus 1/8 inch; width, depth, and thickness may vary slightly, and if purchasing multiple units, an exact match in wood grain or color shade cannot be guaranteed. The NSF logo can be applied to the underside of the countertop upon request.
